Stompers, this course is for you. Want to learn more about your 4-Wheel Drive vehicle? Want to improve your off-road driving skills? Interested in keeping you and your loved ones safe while off-roading? FTS will safely teach you what it takes most people years to learn on their own.

FTS never encourages its members to go off-roading alone. Although it is always best to off-road with other vehicles, this is not always possible or desired. Upon completion of this ride you begin to understand the limitations of your vehicle and your driving skills allowing you to intelligently choose excursions and trails to match your capabilities.

Join Certified Safety Specialist and FTS Trail Boss Mike Groves as he will demonstrate many skills to help you become a better off-road driver.

Topics covered will be:

Parts breakdown of the winch Proper use of the winch Open vs closed recovery tactics Recovery gear needed Communication When to pull vs when to dig

If you have recovery items that you purchased and don't know how to use, make sure you bring them. Also, bring a cooler of drinks and snacks.

Meet at the south end of Citrus at Trail 22 gravel parking area which is off of the south side of Trail 13. If coming in from the south, you would be traveling down Stage Coach Trail.

The coordinates are: (28.7097673, -82.4169482)
